Why is there a 25-file limit?+

The cap protects your browser from running out of memory and keeps the tool fast for everyone. For larger batches, merge in groups of 25 and then combine the results.

What about password-protected PDFs?+

Encrypted/password-protected PDFs must be unlocked before merging. Open them in any PDF viewer, remove the password, then drop them in here.

Is the output a single searchable PDF?+

Yes. All text, bookmarks (where supported), and metadata from the source PDFs are preserved in the merged output.
